Idea

Me and Ann got together and thought about our idea more thoroughly.

Idea one was to be on a beach and have money sitting on the floor, then the tide coming in taking the money and taking out to see, the quote would have been time waits for no man.

idea two money time picture of finical district this links with time and money again. ( this is the idea we have worked on)

idea three printed notes, dollars, pounds, yen, euros stuck on the wall transforming into a clock.

Final idea is to shoot in central London around the financial district still linking with the element of time is money also shooting the people walking around in busy times to show you spend your time earning money, which still links to the element and aspect we are going for.

Here is a brainstorm that me and Roger had put together to help eachother out with ideas. As you can see in the centre is the word time and what relates to time on the outside of the bubble, Some ideas are fairly obvious but others are abstract and outside the box but relate to time and could work great with photographer.

This is one of my favourite images, it shows repetition, shape and depth of field.

This book is to represent repetition, also another of my favourites.

This image represents shape and focus, its great because the object in the background is in focus.

This image is blurry but great as it shows movement and relates to time.

This image is just showing the rule of thirds.

This image is great as it covers many different areas such as texture tone and pattern.

this is my favourite tone image as you can intently see the difference in tone.

using Audition.

thanks t the great equipment and my choice of where to interview, using Audition became relatively easy as i never had t go to far in-depth with the editing process.

Putting the clips in order was an easy part of the process.

the hardest thing we came across was cutting some of the clips perfectly as i moved he microphone away at certain points so the interviewee couldn’t be heard, but once this had been done the cuts sounded god and flowed nicely, a few of them not even recognisable to be cuts.

i had to up the volume every now and then on a few of the clips as they couldn’t be heard very well or was to loud.

Mainly i had rouse the De-Esser to get rid of a few of them high pitched S sounds.

overall i found this project very fun and fairly easy to do, with a few minor hiccups along the way but nothing  to much and all was easily solvable.

sound Interviews

We had no problem getting the interviews and akin the people we wanted to interview was easy enough to.

I spoke the the candidates and they agreed that it was fine for me to record their voices and use it in a piece of work. Using the RODE microphone i asked questions like “what do you think of the services” and more.

using the RODE Mic made all the voices sound crisp and to a high quality which we was really happy about.

I then thought about putting all these clips together and seeing how they sound on Audition.

Sound Design Idea 2

Idea 2.

So my other idea is to record Busses and Trains as a wild track, these also being the object i am choosing to pick.

In the background you will hear the sound of the bus and train, secretly to this i will interview people asking them of what they think of the services within TFL and the public transport system.

Im hoping to make the clip about 5 minutes long.

the people i will interview are two friends Courtney and Umar.

I will record about 2 minutes each of a bus and a train, this will be done on my way home as i use both from and to uni, so this is easy enough.

i will use a TASCAM for recording the wild track but a RODE Mic for recording voice for the more deeper and clearer track.

Sound Design Idea 1

First idea:

Object- Van

To record a wild track of a V8 Chevrolet day van.

Within the clips there will be different wild tracks of the van, one being it ticking over, another one where its driving and another picking up the revs.

interview would be of my grandad where he speaks about the van which is his, speaking about different attributes of the van i.e., speed, make, model etc.

another interview of my nan speaking about what she likes etc.

UPDATE.

this idea is no longer valid due to the van having no insurance so it is not allowed to go on the road and this would cause drawbacks.

Main idea

The idea that I have in my mind and I like is that over the course of 40 years humans stopped caring about the world, so the world stopped caring about humans. The world as we know it turned its back on humans, stopping natural resources, which then made people go crazy turning on each other until they started wiping there selfs
out. This then led the world into utter chaos. As humans started dropping the world started growing, returning back to its original state, Greenery started re growing, taking down any warehouses and industry built factory’s in its way. This made it not safe to go outside, but out story will follow what it would be like to go outside in such a world. The world humans created, the world humans destroyed.
